UNRAAVEL is a reading strategy that we are learning in preparation for the upcoming Georgia Milestones Test. However, it is a great strategy for all readers to use. The student becomes an "active" reader, rather than a "passive" reader. Comprehension increases, and students are well-equipped to answer the questions relating to the passage.
